Intervoice Appoints Jim Milton as President and Chief Operating Officer
DALLAS, March 3, 2008 – Intervoice, Inc. (Nasdaq: INTV) today announced the appointment of Jim Milton to the position of President and Chief Operating Officer reporting to Chief Executive Officer, Bob Ritchey. Mr. Milton has served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer since joining the company on January 30, 2006.
Mr. Ritchey noted, “I am very excited about the promotion of Jim into this expanded role. In addition to his current duties, he will now also be responsible for the company’s research and development and product management organizations driving an even closer alignment of our product roadmap with the needs of our customers and partners.”
David Brandenburg, Chairman of Intervoice, stated, “Jim has been a valuable contributor to the company’s success over the past two years and I am pleased that his responsibilities have been expanded to include these important functions. This is also another step in our succession planning for the company.”
Mr. Milton joined Intervoice after 25 years of high tech sales, marketing and general management experience at Digital Equipment Corporation, Compaq, Hewlett-Packard and UGS Corporation. Most recently, he was Executive Vice President at UGS Corporation (now a Siemens company). He previously rose to the level of Senior Vice President and Managing Director of the Americas for Hewlett-Packard.
Mr. Milton received a Bachelor of Mathematics degree with Joint Honors in Computer Science and Economics from the University of Waterloo in Canada.
