Intervoice Announces Stock Repurchase Program
DALLAS – July 11, 2007 – Intervoice, Inc. (NASDAQ: INTV) a world leader in converged voice and information solutions, today announced that on July 10, 2007, its Board of Directors approved the repurchase of up to 2 million shares of its common stock, from time to time over the next 2 years in the open market or in negotiated transactions off the market.“A stock repurchase program provides the Company with the flexibility to repurchase shares of its common stock when warranted by market and business conditions, “said Bob Ritchey, President and Chief Executive Officer. “We are pleased to announce this program, which we believe is in the best interests of our shareholders.”
The specific timing and amount of any repurchases will vary based on market conditions, business conditions, securities law limitations and other factors. The repurchases will be made using Intervoice’s cash resources, and the program may be amended, suspended or discontinued at any time without prior notice. The approval of this program authorizes, but does not commit, the Company to repurchase shares of its common stock. As of May 31, 2007, Intervoice had approximately 38.9 million shares of common stock issued and outstanding. The closing sale price of Intervoice common stock on July 11, 2007, as reported on the NASDAQ National Market System, was $8.55.
